Glossary

Multi-Lumen Tubing: A lumen is a passage or a channel within a tube. Multi-Lumen Tubing is created as a single tube with multiple lumens running throughout the inside diameter of the tube. These inner lumens can vary in size, shape, material, and wall thickness.

Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE): Thermoplastic Elastomers are generally low modulus, flexible materials that can be stretched repeatedly to at least twice their original length at room temperature with an ability to return to their approximate original length when stress is released.

Tubing: Refers to a circular pipe or any hollow profile.

Coextrusion: The extrusion of multiple layers of distinct materials simultaneously into a desired form.

Profile Extrusion: Creates a shaped, non-circular product with a wide variety of configurations, including solid as well as hollow forms.
